A BRIEF HISTORY OF OUR SCHOOL

Lahore Grammar School was established in January 1979 in Lahore by a group of women with a commitment to quality education and with the aim of providing a creative alternative to the existing educational facilities available in the country.

The initial focus of LGS was the promotion of female education. However, the focus expanded to include boys and the first branch for male students was established in 1992. LGS offers Matric/O’ and A’ level to both boys and girls. The school now has several branches in Lahore and also in most major cities of the country – Quetta, Karachi, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Shiekhupura, Sialkot, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Wah Cantt, Peshawar, Gujrat, Rahimyar Khan & Sahiwal.

Opening of branches in other cities is also under consideration.

• In April 1997, Lahore Grammar School started another network called the Landmark Project to cater to the need of the middle income group. The Landmark Project has many branches in Lahore and will be opening branches in other cities too.

• The Board of Directors of LGS have also extended its educational network, known as the ILM Schools, to children from lower income groups.

Lahore Grammar School DHA, Karachi is co-educational, starting from Playgroup to Grade XI. Our O’level program offers Humanities and Science subject options.
